About Taylor White Brown

Taylor White Brown has taught first grade for four years and fifth grade for the past three at Simpson Central School in Pinola, MS. She helps lead the English language arts department and is training to become a mentor on her campus with the MS Department of Education. Taylor is also the cheerleading coach, assistant basketball coach, and yearbook editor. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi, majoring in elementary education and earning endorsements in English and Reading. Teaching and serving others are deeply ingrained in Taylor’s heart. Growing up as the daughter of a coach and educator for 32 years, she was inspired by the impact her father had on the lives of many young individuals to follow in his footsteps. Taylor participates in numerous training sessions to enhance her skills as an educator and consistently researches and observes other teachers for innovative ideas to engage her students in their learning. Those lightbulb moments are what she lives for inside the classroom! In her spare time, Taylor enjoys traveling and attending sporting events with her husband and daughter. She also volunteers at Corinth Baptist Church on the Children’s and Special Events Committees, as well as on the Children’s Committee for the Simpson County Baptist Association. One day, Taylor hopes to write and publish a children’s book.
